First Trip to the ER

I am sure that most of my readers already heard about our first trip to the ER but I felt it necessary to document it on the blog. About three or so weeks ago, after everyone had left our house from Bible study, as Michael and I were settling down into our chairs to rest with the kids in bed we heard a VERY loud thud followed directly by a VERY loud scream. Now, I didn't really rush in to the big boys bedroom because, and this probably won't shock you, it is not abnormal to hear these noises come for our two and three year old's bedroom. However, I realized real quick this was no ordinary fall, when I scooped up Wesley and brought him out into the light of the living room to discover blood rushing out in fairly large quantities from his head. Once we calmed him down and got a good look at the gash we realized, with a short i phone face time session with Dr. Nana, we needed to go to the ER. Michael courageously volunteered to take him to the ER and I, more than gladly allowed him this great honor:) Well, bottom line: two staples later, and a good couple of hours in the Emergency room, he survived. I think for most of the event Wesley slept except for a brief moment when he informed Michael and Bill, "I want to go to Costco." Who knows why he thought of that then. But it's a good story.

Poor baby, hope he is feeling better, and that you are okay too. It freaks you out when one of your babies get hurt.
