Oliver's Interview

Michael conducted this interview the other day. He posted it on Facebook but I thought I would stick it up on the blog too.

Tackle Back

Just in the past month or so I have noticed that Oliver and Wesley are more interested in playing together versus just playing with their own stuff in the same room. They have begun to invent games together one of which Oliver calls "Tackle Back." I think he came up with this game right around the time of the Superbowl hence the name. He and Wesley will stand right at the front door (Oliver usually makes sure his brother is standing in front of the window, apparently that is his spot) and then they both run and "tackle" each other landing on floor pillows. Good think I am figuring out how to sew, I made these floor cushions just in time and I am beginning to think that two is not enough:) My favorite part is when Wesley, wanting to play the game, will on his own whim head to his allotted spot and say, "ready, set, go." Well it's not quite that clear but I know what he is saying even if no one else does.

Driving

Nana made this video the other day of Wesley driving the car we gave the kids for Christmas. Oliver likes it but Welsey REALLY likes it. As I mentioned in a previous blog Welsey is obsessed with cars. When we are driving and he sees a car that is the same model as Mimi's he will point out the window and say, "Mimi's." It's the same routine with all of the grandparents cars. it's impressive to me because he is not even two and yet he can with eery accuracy identify his family member's cars by their make and model.

Valentine's Day

I only have a few pictures from Valentine's day that I took in the morning. I made heart shaped waffles for the boys which I thought were cute, they weren't super impressed. Oliver had a big party at his school the previous Thursday and he came home with a bag full of valentines which we then studied and talked about for the next three or four days. He, of course, handed out Star Wars valentines to his friends.

The Playroom is Finished...almost

I have been meaning to post some pictures of our nearly completed playroom. I managed to capture a few photos in the one of the fleeting moments in which it was actually tidy. We are so thankful we converted our garage, well I am SO thankful, it does help keep the rest of our house somewhat in order and more importantly it helps me keep my sanity...somewhat.

Mommy and Wesley

My mom was just saying to me today how sometimes when she looks at Wesley she sees a lot of me. I was going through pictures today for a project I am working on and stumbled across these two photos. The top one is me...I am not sure exactly how old I am but probably similar in age to Wesley. And the bottom one we took of Wesley at Oliver's party. I will let you decide if there are any similarities!
