The New Place

I am getting some "pressure" we will call it from my Northern relatives for some pictures of the new house.  So here they are...

The boys took a very short swim in the pool yesterday.  So pumped for more swimming to come.

These are the shelves in the playroom.  One of many Mimi and Mommy projects.
LOVE the way these turned out.  A creative way to display our library of books.  The little cheeky smile ain't so bad either:)

                                                   More playroom
Got this idea from Pinterest.  This is above our sofa in the living room.
This piece was my mom's.  We replaced the glass doors with wood painted with chalkboard paint.
Another shot of the living room.

This is the office.  LOVE IT.  Funky junk we like to call it.  FYI my Mom MADE the desk from scratch.  Amazing, yes?
This piece was pink with red under it.  Took some time but we got it done.  It was worth all of the effort.
This is our dining room table.  Was my mom's to begin with.  We painted and chipped the legs.
We have gotten through a lot of projects but we still have lots more to go.  I will continue to update.  I promise:)

Easter!

We dressed the boys up for church and before we left I attempted to take a few pics.  I know, they aren't great but I was trying to get us all out the door without Michael which is hectic enough without adding things like belts and dress jackets into the mix.  I did my best.

We offered to host Easter this year at our new place.  It's easier sometimes to have things at our place instead of dragging all three boys out of the house.  I think we had at least 25 people.  Maybe more.  It was a blast.  The boys did an Easter egg hunt which quite sufficiently replenished my dwindling candy supply.   In true form, Auntie Steph took some great pictures.  They make the ones I took look particularly sad but I, once again, am so thankful she snapped these ones for us.

So Overdue

Oh goodness. I know I am in trouble with my relatives for this one. I haven't posted anything since January. I knew it had been a long time but...Janurary. Yikes. First thing is first. I have to post some new pictures. Everyone knows how much can change merely in how they look in a few months when you have a 4 year old, a 2 year old, and a 10 month old. So I will start there and then share a few of my favorite things they have done or said lately.

Here are the three handsome devils. We got them all looking at the camera and smiling which is a miracle in and of itself.
Oliver:

Michael asked him the other day, "What did you learn at school?" He said, "I don't remember. Wait. Yeah I do. Jesus." A few seconds passed. "Actually bugs. I learned about bugs." We both laughed.

I had a particularly enjoyable conversation with him the other day on our way to church.
He said, "When I grow up I want to a Daddy. "
Me: "That's good. You will be a great Daddy. You will have to get married first. do you want to get married?"
Him: "Yes." A pause. "Actually when I grow up I wan to work. I wan to sell stuff, I want to work at Costco."
Me: "Okay. That's good too."
Him "Actually I want to be a golf instructor."

Wesley:
Wesley has recently mastered peeing in the potty, Not pooping. No he still prefers to poop in his pull up. He also enjoys attempting to dress himself. Sometimes he decides he needs to change for no particular reason and will announce, "I need to change my pants." And then marches to his room to change. The other day however he informed me, "I need to change. My shirt has germs from the softball game." I thought this was hilarious.

I should also mention that he sometimes he forgets to put all parts of his clothes on. The other night at bible study Kaleb and Oliver were dressing up as super heroes and he decided to join in. He dissapeared for a little while and then showed up at the patio door (everyone is outside at this point visiting before study starts) wearing NOTHING but a super hero cape and a batman mask. He said, "Arrgh Mateys."

Crosby:
His favorite thing lately is to blow raspberries and then wait for you to do it back. Then he does it back and so on and so on.

He also enjoys taking his bath in the kitchen sink and especially loves throwing toys out of the bath onto the floor. I say, "uh oh," he giggles, and then we do it all again.

Loves. Loves his brothers. Wants to do what they do and play with whatever toy they have. They don't always love this. But he just watches them.
