He is also obsessed with a book called, "50 Degrees Below Zero." Which he has now pretty much memorized and can read to us. If you are not familiar with this story it's a book about a Father who sleepwalks and a son who is always finding him in the strangest places. One of Wesley's many favorite lines in the book is, "Papa, wake up." Which, at any given moment, you might find him yelling as he runs throughout the house. He will also say, "I look in the bathroom, no one there. Look in kitchen. no one there." I cannot communicate in a blog post how stinkin' cute this is but at least when I read this years down the road I will remember what he did, at this stage, that made us laugh. A Spotlight on Wesley
I want to take a minute and just do an update on Wesley because, let me tell you, this kid is doing some funny stuff lately. One of his new favorite games is to get in this car (pictured below) and pretend to drive to the store. He will usually say, "I need money. Go to store." Then once we have given him "money" he gets in his car and says, "Bye. See you soon" to everyone that is in the room at the time. He then will drive and park the car (he will say, "I park.") and then gets whatever he thinks we need from the store. It's usually ice cream or pizza. Get back in his car and say, "Here you go Dada. Here you go Mommy." He then repeats this OVER and OVER. And it is cute every time.

Here are the two little mischief makers. We have not gotten them to a point where we put them to bed at the same time and they have learned how to play for a while, giggle, and talk and then go to sleep. Of course, we have to remind them a few (sometimes more) times to GO TO SLEEP. Often times, Oliver will go to bed first because he doesn't nap and when 7 or 7:30 pm comes he is VERY tired. The other night I noticed the light was on, Wesley has learned how to turn the light on and off, and so I went in to check and see what was going on. When I opened the door this is the scene I saw:

Oliver asleep, he was completely out with the light on. Wesley sitting on Oliver's bed with the bottle of "no nail bite" nail polish in one hand and the brush in the other (this awful tasting stuff is what we have been putting on Oliver's finger to keep him from sucking on it). Just sitting there with a little smirk on his face. Putting on this nail stuff and oh yeah, did I mention? He also had brushed some of this nasty solution on the bedspread. Good thing I love him.

3 Months Old!
Again, somehow I wonder how yet another month has passed and it is time to post some pics of our littlest boy. Crosby was three months old last week and is doing great. He smiles all the time, is really close to rolling over all by himself, is sleeping GREAT at night (yeah for me!), and we are all falling more in love with him by the day. Here are a few pics.
I have managed to arrange the schedule so that they are all napping/ having quiet time at the same time. However, Crosby will not sleep from 12:30 pm-3:00 pm unless I put him in the sleepy wrap. So this is how I spend those hours...and I love it just as much as him. I know before long he will be napping all by himself in his crib so I am enjoying this cuddle time while it lasts.

He loves his bath time.

"Say what?"
Love him. Love him.

The First Day
He made his very own placemat while we were there. He wrote his name all by himself without any help from me whatsoever.
Story time.
Here is our handsome devil right before his first day.

Here are my big boys. Wesley is wearing his SCA shirt in support of his big bro. I took Oliver to school and on the way I said to him, "I don't know why your nose is so runny." He responded, "Don't worry." I said, "Okay buddy, I won't worry." He said, "Don't worry mom, they will have kleenex at school." I love that he was reassuring me and not the other way around:)

Overall, I think it was a successful first day. There were no tears and when we asked him if he made any friends he told us, "Yeah, I played spiderman with the kid with the spiky hair." We don't know our friends name yet but hopefully that will come:)
While Oliver went off to school, I stayed home with the two younger ones. Aren't they cute...

Wesley, who is becoming more hilarious by the day, found the Spiderman back pack, put a book in it, and promptly informed me, "I go to school with Da Da." "Da Da" is what Wesley prefers to call his big brother even though he can say a version of his name "Oli-O" - we aren't sure why. Anyways he said to me, "I bring book. Go school with Da Da." Apparently he is ready when the time comes.

Crosby was happy to stay behind and work on his newly discovered skill-sucking on his hand.

Monday Funday
Since Michael works on Sunday now that he is on staff at the church he gets to take Mondays off. So we have been trying to take advantage of this day and do some fun activities as a family to get out of the heat. An indoor trampolining place just opened down the street from us so we checked it out last Monday. It's quite the place with all sorts of different trampolines including a foam pit to jump and do tricks into. We had a great time and I think we successfully wore out the kids...I know for a fact we wore ourselves out:) Here are some pics.

Crosby is 2 months old!
Like I said, time is flying, and Crosby has already hit the 2 month marker. I was a little late getting him to the doctor for his check up because we were out of town but I took him and Oliver today (Oliver had to get shots for school- he starts next week). So here are the stats: He weighs 13.1 lbs. (60th percentile) and is 24 inches tall (80th percentile). And today, for the first time, he rolled from his stomach to his back. He is now sleeping in his crib and has, for the last three nights, dropped a feeding in the middle of the night! I am probably the most excited about that development! Here is a shot from his bath time last night.
San Diego 2011
These are probably about half of the pictures that I have to post from our San Diego trip but I wanted to get something up because who knows how long it will take me to get the rest up:) We had a great trip and are so thankful to have such an amazing family to not only take us on vacation but to help and support us by helping with the kids when we got there!
Nana and Crosby during Crosby's first trip to the beach
They both got into playing in the sand this year and especially liked putting their feet in the water.
Wesley and I spent a lot of time building sand castles together. I would build them he would destroy them by stomping on them!

Wesley and Papa G. hanging at the park the day Michael took Oliver to Disneyland (I will post those pics soon)

Oliver playing super heros (his new favorite game).

Celebrating the summer birthdays!

He really liked to throw the sand:)

Playing Catch Phrase on the patio:)

The cousins. We're weird.

Prescott
I sign in to my blog and I realize that it has been almost exactly a month since I blogged. Where has the time gone? Seriously? So I must, once again, issue an apology to all of my Canadian relatives for being so behind. But, in my defense, it has been a crazy month. Not just because I have three kids three and under but because we have been in and out of town. So here goes my catch up!

Papa trying to teach Wesley to dump the bucket of water away from himself versus all over his pants:)

The highlight of the Zoo: being able to get close the the animals. They didn't exactly have the most exotic animals, no giraffes or zebras, but the boys didn't seem to care:)
This pretty much sums up Wesley's emerging personality - climbing on the restricted area fence:) Our second child for sure.
Oliver and I on my 28th birthday. Wesley was being a diva (or divo- is that a word?) and didn't want to be photographed.

Michael was gone for a week leading our church's missions trip to the Dominican Republic, which my Dad attended also, leaving my mom and I to fend for ourselves:) We decided instead of spending the week in sticky, hot and muggy Phoenix we would head up to the cabin. We really had a fantastic week keeping the boys busy with trips to the park, the Zoo (yes, there is a zoo in Prescott) long walks on the property, and lots of visitors. We were lucky enough to have my girlfriend from high school and her two boys join us one day. My two close girlfriends, Jenny and Christine, and their girls for joined us another day. And Nana and Papa came up to see us one day also. It was so nice to be able to go outside and not sweat to death. A very nice break- although we missed Michael a lot!
Oliver on the amazing porch:)

The rain was a big hit.
Papa trying to teach Wesley to dump the bucket of water away from himself versus all over his pants:)

This is how Crosby experienced a good chunk of our trip to the Zoo!

Not the best picture ever but at least I got the two of them together at the Zoo.

Enjoying a little pool time.

Crosby around 7 weeks old. SO cute.
